Dr. Robert A. Bryant

Dr. Robert A. Bryant is Associate Professor of Religion and Chair of the Department of Religion and Philosophy at Presbyterian College in Clinton, South Carolina. Along with Bible Survey courses, he teaches upper New Testament courses and Biblical Greek. He received his B.S. degree from Virginia Tech and his M.Div. and Ph.D. degrees from Union Theological Seminary in Virginia. He has been a Visiting Scholar for Duke University and has taught at Union Theological Seminary and the Pädagogische Hochschule Karlsruhe in Germany. An ordained minister in the Presbyterian Church (USA), Dr. Bryant has served churches as Pastor and Supply Pastor in the Synods of the South Atlantic (South Carolina and Georgia) and the Mid-Atlantic (North Carolina and Virginia). He is the author of The Risen Crucified Christ in Galatians, The Gospel of Matthew: God With Us, and First Corinthians: One in Christ. He has written numerous articles and lectured extensively, and he has also been active in lay schools of theology and contributed to the development of Christian Education curricula. He and his family live in Clinton, South Carolina. He has been travelling to Israel since 2001.
